Dylan - Savannah - Tomorrow - Anybody?

Gonna catch Bob Dylan at the Johnny Mercer Theater tomorrow in Savannah - then head home to watch the (recorded) finale of Justified!
Anybody from here going to the Bob show? Gonna do some museum's and find some dinner beforehand. If you see me say hello?

Have a good time man; I just saw him in Baltimore on Saturday night and he was amazing

I'd like to, but I might be in Tangiers!
Enjoy Rusty, and look forward to your report. And I'll "see you soon."

Another great show by Mr. Dylan!
Observations:
* Bob's voice was stronger than I've heard in 10 years or so. He didn't play guitar at all, but did play an actual baby grand piano (Steinway?) instead of an electronic keyboard. The piano was way up in the mix revealing that Bob can really tickle them ivories! Not a Chuck Leavell, but a fine pianist in his own right!
* No band introductions - no audience banter at all, really but I think the band continues to be Stu Kimball — rhythm guitar, Donnie Herron — pedal steel, lap steel, electric mandolin, banjo, violin, Charlie Sexton — lead guitar, Tony Garnier — bass guitar and George Receli — drums, percussion.
* Although the audience was diverse in age, this was probably the ... most senior audience at a Dylan show that I've ever seen! A lot of canes ... several walkers and a few wheelchairs spotted. This actually resulted in a very staid and respectful audience. None of the non-stop jabbering, beer spilling hipster doofuses that over-populated the last show (Lakewood Amphitheater with Wilco and My Morning Jacket) that I attended about 18 months ago.
* A lot of said senior audience were actually attending their first Dylan show. Many (as you'd expect) had trouble deciphering and un-coding the older tunes. Part of Bob's shows for the past 20 years has been the Easter egg process of identifying certain songs. Last night it was evident that the newer material (from Time Out of Mind forward) is played fairly faithful to the recorded version. It is the back catalog that Bob re-vamps ... and seems to actually enjoy the fact that the audience scratches their heads during the performance.
As stated, another great performance from the only performer in the world who can be Bob Dylan!

Setlist still steady and yup,the voice is extremely clear since he took those darn lozenges 😉 it's a Steinway that he's been using since he introduced the baby grand piano.
Yes,it's the same band and you were lucky to get the walker/wheelchair crowd-they tend to respect the music!
When I saw them in November I was with a similarly older crowd and I can't say I missed the talkers, cellphone walkers, beer spillers, and inconsiderate types that tend to attend concerts these days.
Glad you enjoyed it,Rusty...hope you loved the Sinatra closing number too!

Thanks Rusty for the good report. Come on next Friday!
What side of the stage was the piano on?

Piano was on the right side looking at the stage from the audience. I guess that's stage left? Heavens to Mergatroyd!
