Watched part one the other night which included lengthy portions on The Carter Family and Jimmie Rodgers.
During part of the Carter content it was mentioned that Duane had learned to play "Wildwood Flower" and there's a photo similar to (if not identical to what we've seen) of Duane sitting on a hotel bed playing the acoustic.
Additionally Duane is tied to Jimmie Rodgers in at least several ways. His playing on "Waiting For A Train" on Boz Scaggs' first solo album (a song written by Rodgers) and then Duane's medley of Rodgers' songs on the Gatlinburg tapes clearly illustrates Rodgers influence on Duane from an early age and Duane's affinity for Rodgers' music.
Primarily during his Great American Music Tour, Dickey has also covered several tunes written by Rodgers.
Quite a surprise when mention of Duane surfaced during the telecast.

I saw that and was pleasantly surprised at the mention. Jerry was also pictured in that episode.
I have only missed Tuesday night's episode, which I recorded for later, but I am really enjoying this series.
