Lee Dickey did have a beautiful way of phrasing and he had a unique melodic style all his own. Dickey was something when he wasn't too far in the bag as a musician friend use to say:)

Derek Trucks and Dickey are excellent together on Blue Sky, Ramblin' Man and Nobody Left To Run With from this 1999 show.

The notes are just flowing out of Dickey's guitar.

Warren Haynes on why much of the tone is the player not the rig. And playing with Dickey was proof. Stood next to Dickey playing a Strat and plugged into a Twin and it still sounded like Dickey!!
