Same back east BerRabbit. Felt like a long walk last night and streets empty and bars and restaurants closed downtown. How are some of the servers and waitress and waiters going to make their bills with no tips?

I'm gonna play Ain't Waisting Time Anymore off Eat A Peach. Great lyrics for times like these. One of Gregg's best. And same for the so called 5 man band.

My east coast beach town just announced 10PM curfew for bars. I'm sure they will be closed by next week, they are just letting them make as much money as they can before the inevitable. Added as many 10-minute songs from the FOX BOX to the bar juke box last night.

aaaand they just closed bars in Florida starting at 5PM today. Bummer for everyone in the service industry, not to mention, working musicians.

Turn out the lights, the party's over.

Yes - rough time for cooks, wait staff, hoteliers and even musicians. But things are sometimes a matter of perspective. I posted in the WP about how my coastal resort town is being swarmed with Spring Breakers. Reminds me of the stories of European settlers bringing their unintended gifts to the new locals. Bummer for the kids to miss out on this annual rite of tradition. Worse for all the aforementioned. Many will literally lose their livelihoods for the next weeks - months.

God, I hope this passes very soon!

Agreed. This past weekend was still Spring Break and St Paddy's Day, and even though most activities were canceled the Snow Birds and Irish-for-a-Day were still packing the restaurants and bars unfettered. I think the state waited for one last pay day for the industry, otherwise it probably would have happened last week. Aside from paper mills, I don't know any industry that isn't feeling the economic impact.

I'm starting to wonder if 3/10/2020 was like The Last Concert?
They certainly rounded it out with the best of them all!

The day the music died.

Good choice and it would have been too melodramatic to go with Morrison and the Doors classic.

I am confident science will find an answer an resolution to this pandemic. Scary stuff
especially if older with existing medical history etc, I am concerned the non science believers
will overrun the limited system we have. I am glad the Government found 5 mil masks and
million respirators in military supply depots. Can't imagine why they did not distribute equipment
a month ago?

Trump is touting a major breakthrough... apparently he is announcing today. Speculation is drugs already working well for HIV or certain flu viruses works on Covid 19. Hopefully that is what he will say.

3/10/MSG isn't the last concert unless the whole summer is shut down. Several bands including Allman Betts Band are suppose to tour together then Jaimoe comes out and they play an Allman Brothers set.

Since Allman Betts with Devon Allman, Duane Betts, Berry Oakley, Johnny Stachela etc are sounding real fine on Allman Brothers songs then with Jaimoe added it should be strong.

But right now because of corvid 19, the entire west coast tour for Allman Betts Band has been canceled. Band said they fully intend on playing those days eventually.
