Don't Keep Me Wonderin'

I've been enjoying my Idlewild South box set lately and have been listening to Disc 1 a lot.
I keep coming back to Don't Keep Me Wonderin' and find myself repeating this track over and over.
The poppin drums, the sick bass line, the catchy little slide riffs, Gregg on fire on the vocals.
This original version just fckin ROCKS!

+1 ....one of my all time favs

One of my favorites. Have enjoyed all of the versions from the original to the version on The Duane Allman Anthology to the way Gregg's band is doing it now with the piano intro.

And the lyrics are worthy to stand with any number of classic blues verses.

Just a great song. Gregg was on fire in the early part of his career writing songs.

When I first got into this band, I pretty much stayed at Fillmore and Eat a Peach. I had Beginnings but didn't listen to it that much. Then I left those behind and only listened to Derek/Warren shows for years.
Revisiting Idlewild South and Ludlow has been great.
I never noticed that trance organ drone behind Midnight Rider until now either. Sounds so good!
