Doc and his son, the late Merle Watson, were major fans of the ABB, especially Duane. Merle was a mighty good slide player. Here's a two-hour sample of what they could do together:

Got to see Doc post Merle's accidental death and it is a very fond memory. His pickin' is fantastic!
