Dixie Dregs reunion

Just read that this is happening, with Allan West on bass, and they are even working on getting the original road crew, including Scoots Lyndon!

Interesting indeed. Never thought it'd happen again since T's passing, especially since Dave Larue has been more involved than Andy West the past many years of reunions.
I hope they will pay respect to later versions of the band with setlist selections, and not limit it to the band's first five years. These guys are adults, and this isn't a Hagar/Roth or Ozzy/Dio situation. They even mentioned the guys from the band's second half of existence, which I think is a classy touch.

I'm excited for this - one the best shows ever for me was the Dixie Dregs at Hofstra University around '81.

saw them open for the Allman Brothers in Augusta Ga in early 80's. by then any ABB show was a gift, but one of the few times the brothers got bested by an opening act!

To Zambi's point, everything Steve Morse does is classy. He is like Derek Trucks: a jaw-dropping artist and virtuoso who is incredibly down to earth.
I had heard of him in the guitar mags but never caught his music until i saw the Steve Morse Band open for Rush in the winter of 1985. Amazin show.
