At least it's the last one I know of. Sounds fairly recent, Dickey sounds maybe a little slow, but fairly lucid and he's got nothing but good things to say about his time in The Allman Brothers Band. Thanks Don (dzobo).
It's not his last interview by a long stretch. It's from at least 10-15 years ago and I'm surprised it was allowed to be published. Here's the original link . He did interviews with Rolling Stone and Dan Rather more recently, and maybe a few blurbs with the local paper since his last tour and head injury recovery.
That Youtube account you shared, Nice Nivon, is from a garbage site that monetized views by using death as a means to attract viewers. They have pirated the original interview. I wouldn't give them any more clicks.
@porkchopbob You are correct Porkchop. I saw that interview on YouTube about 2007 or so. Dickey seems to be on cocaine to some of the comments I read back then.
I also saw the interview again on YouTube but falsely tagged on YouTube as " Dickey's last interview before he died". Anyone not aware the interview is about 15 years old could easily be fooled.
There are even videos on the net now doing a life's overview of people such as Clint Eastwood claiming they died earlier that day and IT ISN'T TRUE!! When I saw the one for Clint and Googled Clint Eastwood as it wasn't on the morning news and Clint, according to his Wikipedia page, was still alive. And no news accounts of his death anywhere on Google. And here 4 months later the 94 year old actor is still alive. Celine Dion is another a video announced her death and offered an overview of her life.
It's sleezy to do that kind of thing to me.
