Devon Allman talks about carrying on the legacy

Excellent interview. Thank you for sharing.
I can understand Devon being critical of sloppy tribute bands, but I will add the obvious statement: there are also some truly excellent tribute bands out there too.

Great interview. I tend to forget he is mid 40’s, not a kid anymore and defintely has his shit together. He & Duane put on a hell of a show together...and separately. Both those boys have worked hard to get to this point.

Funny that he mentions people wanting to hear a Bonham play his dad's drum parts rather than a tribute band. I've seen Jason Bonham's Zep band a few times and always walked away impressed. If anyone has the right to make a buck off their father's music, it's obviously their offspring. When I first heard Devon & Duane were going to tour together, I thought it would be great to see a package summer tour sometime soon with them, Jason Bonham, Zappa plays Zappa (or whatever it's called now) and even Ziggy Marley. All these kids are doing their father's music justice.
Mud Morganfield is another person who really carries the torch well for his dad.

Thanks for sharing. Devon seems like a really good dude I look forward to catching him and Duane this summer. Here is a link to a setlist from Devon, could not find one for Duane.
