There's additional footage of Clapton playing Matchbox with Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash with great solos by both Eric and Carl. Clapton's playing is clearly more in the blues vein. Perkin's does a hot rockabilly solo. On the last version of the Layla album there are tracks from the Johnny Cash show that I have not seen film of. They are live versions of Blues Power and Got To Get Better In A Little While. What a great band.

Would that have possibly been on the Layla 40th anniversary box set? I have the 20th-year one -- boy they do parcel this stuff out piecemeal don't they -- gotta see that additional footage sometime! Grin my version includes the Matchbox Smile

I believe it's on the 40th anniversary box set. You don't have to buy the entire box set. They sold a 2 CD version that had the original album and a second CD that contained, among other things the Johnny Cash show. If you already own the 20th anniversary Layla CD's, all you need is the double CD. Then, I'm pretty sure, you'll have everything.
