Derek sat in with Duane's band the other night too. According to Derek he and Duane Betts are close friends.
Derek said Dickey was a fearless guitar player who was never afraid to face the sun. Duane used that title for a song about his dad and Derek plays on the track from Duane Betts' lastest album.

Sweet it is.. Derek is playing Dreams often. I caught him doing Dreams in St Augustine recently and just amazing.
The road goes on forever, thank goodness we have a younger man playing at the Duane/Dickie level these tunes.
