We saw them on the Perfect Strangers tour in Philly in '85. Was really excited to see them cause Ian Gillian was back in the band. While the tunes were great, it was so loud during some songs you'd have to think what song they were playing. We ended up leaving early cause we couldn't take it anymore. Still enjoy them, but will never forget that night. I though super loud was good until that night.

8th Row @The Meadowlands Arena in NJ, Great F'n Show, Epic to see Richie Blackmore play them riffs, Grinning in the thought of the night. "Hits" and toot to boot. A different day fo' sho'.

I'm a big Richie Blackmore fan. Guitar wise I'm a Les Paul fan. But some players get tones out of Strats and other guitars that are as good if not better than anything I've heard from a Les Paul. And Richie Blackmore is one of those players.

Look at these U.S. Dates!!!!! This is way awesome! Two years strong into the Long Goodbye tour....and they are coming to Indy. This is one band I will lay down some money for good seats! I am stoked!!!!

Great stuff Scott. I saw them just last year and thought they hadn't lost ANYTHING, the BIG surprise being how good Ian Gillan's voice sounded. Here's one I shot last year at Shoreline Amphitheatre:
