Wow didn't even know footage existed of the original band: Rod Evans vocals Nick Simper bass.

Some of the hair and the clothes are actually comical............young men trying way too hard to look "Hip 60's".

I enjoy Playboy After Dark- some of the interviews are so surreal and so bizarre that they almost seem like a parody,
especially this Grateful Dead episode (check out some of THEIR outfits):

My favorite part is at the end when the Playboy bunnies all boogie down to "Lovelight".

The Grateful Dead one is awesome. LOL

I forget way back if it was this site or another but when someone shared the Dead episode, there was a woman that posted and she was in the video.

That sounds a bit thin. I saw Purple in Greensboro in early 70's and it was a big thick sound. I remember Smoke On The Water was a Rick and roll lead guitar clinic. It was real, real good.

I love that they are actually playing on the show. Accounts for a lack of heavier sound but it is real.
