DEEP PURPLE's latest studio album, "inFinite", was released April 7, 2017, via earMUSIC. Produced by the legendary Bob Ezrin, (PINK FLOYD, ALICE COOPER, KISS), "inFinite" featured 10 new tracks recorded with no musical boundaries in the spirit of the '70s. The metal pioneers have released five studio albums since 1996, augmented by an abundance of solo work and special projects from members Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse, and Don Airey. Fans will be thrilled as they cover decades of favorites for this run. Additionally, Airey will release his solo album "One Of A Kind" on May 25.
JUDAS PRIEST's latest studio album, "Firepower", was released March 9, 2018, via Epic Records. Co-produced by Tom Allom and Andy Sneap, the 14-track album has become one of the most successful of the band's entire career — landing in the Top 5 of 17 countries (including their highest chart placement ever in the U.S.), and scoring their highest charting commercial rock radio single in decades with "Lightning Strike". Few heavy metal bands have managed to scale the heights that JUDAS PRIEST have during their near 50-year career, and with a lineup featuring Rob Halford, Andy Sneap, Richie Faulkner, Ian Hill, and Scott Travis, JUDAS PRIEST will be scorching across North America with some heavy metal "Firepower" again this summer and fall on tour with DEEP PURPLE.

Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

Surprised as Judas Priest just came this way two weeks ago.
Somehow I never heard or noticed that Glenn Tipton was not with the band anymore. When a band liker Priest is down to just the singer - time to call it a new name.
Show was decent and band played on but..........

Well Ian Hill is still in Priest. He's been there since day one.

Sorry I stand corrected. He is so low key that I forgot about him. LOL
Priest without the guitarists - different band.

I'll be grabbing tickets tomorrow in a pre-sale for September 29th, Shoreline Amphitheatre. This lineup is just too good to miss and it may be Deep Purple's last tour. I go back with Priest to their very first U.S. tour must have been 1975 or '76. Yeah it will be weird with both original guitar players gone but with Halford and Hill on board it still should be legit IMO.

That is a solid double bill indeed. Deep Purple is one of my fave bands, but I have not made much effort to see them live lately, because I am tired of the majority of the oldies setlist. A pairing with Priest is making me re-think that, though.
At around that same time, Glenn Hughes will be in my area, playing all Deep Purple 1974-1975 stuff, and that might win.

I felt that way for awhile but they have kinda mixed up the setlist a little over the last few years. I am surprised they are coming back through NA. Glenn is doing his DP tour and if he came in my area I would not hesitate to go.

Cash grab, decent tix going for 250/ each.

Where are the $250 tickets? Are you looking on the secondary market or the meet & greet tickets? I don't think tickets for most (if not all of the shows) go on sale until Friday.
The Atlanta area show has tickets for the following: $125.00, $85.00, $65.00, $45.00, $35.00 reserved and $30.00 lawn.

Cash grab, decent tix going for 250/ each.
I think you may be looking at some Meet and Greet price or something. Definitely not the price range for regular seats at a Deep Purple show.
Purple has been touring steadily and this is definitely no cash grab. They have constantly released material and toured.
Just a co-bill that makes many people happy. Deep Purple always gets another great act to tour with.

As others mentioned, this had to be some kind of meet and greet or VIP ticket.
I just bought four through a radio station pre-sale (public on sale is tomorrow) for Sept. 29th at Shoreline Amphitheatre. Prices were $149.50, 99.50. 59.50, 39.50 and lawn for 29.50. I got right in the middle of section 203 row K seats 21-24 which are actually quite good seats, 11 rows back in upper reserved, for $59.50 each. I've sat there before many times so I knew what I was getting. With all fees came to $306.50 which I didn't think was bad at all.

Depending on what's going on, I may catch the So Cal gig.

I had first dibs on fanclub Jones Beach presale days ago and thought it was too high for general tix
