Wishing much Peace to You and Your Family CanadianMule......joe

Sorry for your loss.

My condolences to you and your family James. I know the pain you must be feeling right now having lost my wonderful dad in August. Keep strong my friend, it will hurt for a long time but will also ease with time, and nothing and nobody will ever take away all the great memories you have of your dad.

Sorry for your loss brother James

Brother James.... I am sorry of the passing of your papa and an era of life, the melancholy tint that sometimes filters after, and wish when a warm wind blows, kind memories come with it.

Condolences.

Sorry to hear about your dad. Mine died from cancer almost 3 years ago to the day, I miss him every day but at least he isn't in pain. Yes, cancer indeed sucks.

I'm sorry for your loss. Both of my parents died from cancer, one year after each other, when I was young (in my 20's), shortly after the ABB re-union in Central Park. Death is the doorway to eternity. Our life here on earth was never meant to be our eternity, it was meant to prepare us to be the best we can be, so that we are actually worthy of an eternity of peace and happiness. It takes a lot of living, and some mistakes along that road till we get there. Know that they are in a good place, a place of light and peace. It's a different dimension.

Thoughts and prayers to you and your family CMule. Sending you best wishes and thoughts.

🙁 sending my deep and heartfelt condolences to you and family .
I lost my dad 8months ago . It's hard . Condolences to all posters here .
Reading Tony's bird72 really grabbed me .
It's true

I'm sorry for your loss, my condolences.

Condolences to you and your family and thanks for the heartfelt advice. It struck home for me.

James, I don't come around here as often as I used to, but I saw your post and had to log in to extend my condolences to you for your loss, having lost my dad a year ago in September.
Dad lived in FL so I didn't get to see him very often. He had been diagnosed with large cell lung cancer and had surgery to remove the diseased portion of his lung. I went down to see him thinking I'd get there in time to help bring him home, but he was having some complications that I believe were caused by his pain meds. I got there and spent a couple hours with him and left to let him get some rest. The last thing we said to each other was "I love you." He passed away about 9 hours later from aspiration. Dad was always strong and resilient, and I expected him to recover from this, but he was 82 and he was tired. As John Mellencamp said in the liner notes to the album, Scarecrow, "There is nothing more sad or glorious than generations changing hands."
Peace to you and your family, James, and to everyone who has lost their parents.

I am so sorry to read of this - my Dad too passed way from cancer on Oct 8 - prayers to you and your family

We buried Dad yesterday and he has joined my Mom once again.
Thank you so much for all the kind thoughts and words.
Shocking to see how many of you have had a similar loss recently. My thoughts are with all of you and also those who lost their parents, children or loved ones at any point.
