Crossroads Guitar Festival

Not sure if anyone's heard, but the Crossroads Guitar Festival, which is here in Dallas on Sept. 20-21 will also be shown on Pay Per View. Here's the link with the info: https://www.indemand.com/event/crossroads-guitar-festival/?fbclid=IwAR0OF-erhqO2eWWZUN6APRP1fhwXoIoYRXE6uk_wXMR3eXRsj5KV3NKK7gk

The ad is funny:
Bonniw Raitt
Robert Randolf
Jow Walsh
I guess they don't look at their work.
😛
At least they spelled Clapton correctly.

There are rumors that TTB will be playing 'Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs' with Clapton himself on guitar and vocals. 😮

I said that in the Clapton group on Facebook. I'm gonna be there on the 1st night!! One rumor is that he might be opening the show with an acoustic set. It'd be great if he & TTB closed the show doing the Layla album together!!

Really?? Given all he's said about his health, and some of what we have heard at shows recently, it's almost hard for me to believe that Eric thinks he's up for that.

The way these things usually go, I would be surprised if TTB's set is long enough to play half of that album. I think they usually get 25 minutes or so per artist then Clapton closes out each night with over an hour.

He's been playing full 2 hour shows for the past few years, just at a much reduced schedule. (Around 10 per year.)

We flew to London to see Clapton at Royal Albert Hall this past May. My friend is a major Clapton fan and I have seen him about 15 times or so. I thought he was much better there than at the Garden show he did the year before. Clapton can still go. Obviously he is not the road warrior he was, but given the right situations he can shine.
I turned down a pair of tickets for the second night of Crossroads in Dallas which were 150 bucks each and I regret it. Prices are now ridiculously high on the secondary market. Still looking for a pair in the event someone here cannot make it. I am surprised a lineup has not been announced for each night.

Thanks for the heads up, may tune in. Thanks to this thread I alerted a bunch of friends to this.
