I've seen Devon Allman with Honeytribe, RSB and his Devon Allman Band. I really like his music. Probably i checked him out because he's the son of one of my alltime favorite singers who sang in my alltime favorite band. But i continue to follow Devon's career because i like his music and not because he's "the son of legendary....."
and i personally think his voice does not resemble that of his father and neither does his guitar playing resembles that of his famous uncle. People should check out Devon Allman because he's Devon Allman. And "the closest thing u can get to seeing the Allman Brothers Band"...... sorry dude.....not so close at all. You might wanna check Les Brers, The Gregg Allman Band, Jaimoe's Jazzz Band, etc.

He is promoting the show and perhaps went a little over the top with the description. 😉

No need to over sell Devon around here. Most know exactly who he is and what he plays.

Great at what he does and I think most around here like him. But even he would likely cringe at comparison. Gets enough of that just being compared with Gregg. He doesn't need to take on the whole band. LOL

Looking forward to seeing him as part of the lineup for the Laid Back festival at Jones Beach.

x2, Just saw Devon for the first time last night, he was great. During a guitar solo an obnoxious fan kept yelling "Where's Gregg" and devon jokingly said after the song "if you say where's gregg one more time"! ....Devon and his band were pretty awesome, Midnight lake michigan is stellar and he played a new song from a new album that is going to be released in september.

I would LOVE to see Warren take the NYE "Watkins Glen"band out on the road with Jack P, Chuck and Paul Riddle...

no doubt....If I was a drummer I'd want to play like Paul Riddle....just awesome chops and time keeping....a very melodic drummer....if you can be melodic and be a drummer....????!!!...I have no other description of his very fine playing

I wish they'd get a Grand for Chuck to play and not some "keyboard"....if there was anyone who deserved to by playing a nice Steinway D it's Chuck.....
