Christmas in March

I'm 49 and one of the dumbest people you'll meet when it comes to technology. Back in the 90s and 2000s, I was buying plenty of bootleg CD s for $25 - 30 a single disc, twice that for double, and obviously buying every official archive CD that rolled around from my faves. Because of an uninformed fear / mistrust / ignorance of technology that I preferred not to discuss, I never got in on downloading, tormenting, copying, burning, etc. I did some mailing of blank CDs for shows, but that's about it.
The recent place this kills me is with bands like TTB and Wilco. I have plenty of ABB instant live and Mule, because they sell it, but Wilco and TTB only have one live release each. Bummer.
ANYWAY - a pal of mine who IS tech savvy has digitalized all of his music, and gave me his CD binders for bands lettered A to M, about 250 discs. I am in pig heaven.
For starters, the ABB stuff:
- the Feb 1970 disc that came out on Dicks Picks. I missed that one.
-the Dreams box that I had on cassette, which died
- the 1992 IRSA unplugged
- Gaitlinburg 1971 boot
There is a heck of a lot more, but what a win!!!! Great CDs.

Enjoy Jim!
I know the feeling! Our friend Breck was at a loss what to do with some of his live CDs from years worth of collecting. I still use CDs alot around the house, in the shop, in the car and on the go! I even still have an old boom box that I take back to the woods for fire night that I play CDs on. His package just came today....it's going to be a good weekend!
