Well, I got some cool music related gifts for Christmas. I received the following:

Was hoping for AC/DC tickets to, but they sold out fast. Hopefully I can get some later, maybe I can win some.
I may have gotten one of my best presents ever.
My wife will often pick up musical instruments for me from a friend of hers at work. Have picked up some guitars, a bass, banjo and assorted amps over the years from her.
This year, my wife surprised me with a Strat copy and a small Behringer amp. I was shocked by the weight of the guitar at first and then started to notice small things. But what jumped out to me was that it is not the original neck. So I started to take it all apart and it seems that I am the proud owner of a Fender Strat that had its' neck replaced for some reason over the years.
Buddy coming over who is much better with this stuff. No idea why they would put a non-Fender neck as a replacement but all the hardware and electronics point to Fender.
Wife paid $50 for the guitar and amp.
As the woman who sells these instruments does it to help other older musicians, I will be honest and step forward as much as it pains me. Last year I could have had a beautiful old Taylor guitar for $50 but was too damn honest. I believe that it went for over $2500.
I got the new ABB book, which looks amazing... can't wait to study it!
The CD, DVD Zeppelin Celebration Day set... I had a chance to watch a few songs last night, In My Time Of Dying looked and sounded great!
I also got Iron Maiden's Book Of Souls 2 CD with the book.
