Chris Thile

Always excited to see and hear Chris play the mandolin, have tickets to see the Punch Brothers in San Diego on 4/1...Gonna put in the time and effort and try to get him to sign my Gretsch..... Here he is out front with Nickel Creek from Austin City Limits quite some time ago "Ode to a Butterfly"
Anyone else here a fan of this guys obvious talent?

Big V the Punch Brothers are one of the most progressive bands out there. You're in for a treat. The entire band is equally talented. They are hard to describe, but incredible if you dig that kind of thing.

Big V you would do well to get guitarist Chris Eldridge and banjoist Noam Picklney's signature as they are and will be two of the best acoustic musicians today.

I'm looking forward to this show big time, bluegrass is growing on me; the musicianship is just otherworldly. First got hep to Thile and Nickel creek about 15 years ago when I heard their initial release that contained "Reasons why" and "When you come back down". The Punch brothers seem to be a more controlled vehicle for Chris, less soloing and more about the song, that's cool, more than happy to take it for a test drive.
Thanks for the heads ups
