Has anyone listened to Chris Stapleton's new album, or his first album for that matter. He's one of the best singer songwriters in a good while. Great songs, great singing, playing, etc. He has a great country blues sound to his music. There's a video of him online doing a great version of Whipping Post. Gonna try to see him in Dallas next October.

They were playing his new one on WNCW the other night. I liked what I heard, but I wasn't paying much attention

Have his first album, on vinyl. I love it.

At first I compared him and Sturgill Simpson and was thinking he's not as good as Sturgill. But a couple years down the road, I realize they're not the same type of music. And actually I find myself listening to the Stapleton album more.

He comes here to Pittsburgh in August I think. I'm gonna do all I can to be there.

If you haven't seen the video of him and Timberlake doing Tennessee Whiskey on YouTube you should check it out.

If you don't have his two albums as lead singer of the Steeldrivers, I highly recommend them. Here is a song from their second album to give you an idea how good they are:

I got the new CD. First time through I heard a few songs I liked alot. They typically only get better.

Seeing him this summer think it will be a cool show.

I've not heard any yet, but I'm going to purposely not listen to his music until he opens for Tom Petty this summer in Chicago just to see what sort of impression he makes on the "first date", so to speak.
