Cher Once Again Seeks Conservatorship Over Son Elijah Blue
OUCH. Based on this new information, I am hoping that Cher will be successful in taking control of Elijah's finances. Sounds like the only way.
"The new documents say Elijah still receives $120,000 a month via a trust that his father Gregg set up prior to the Allman Brothers Band singer’s death. That monthly payment is then “immediately squandered without regard for his liabilities or well-being,” the court filings say.
“There is a clear pattern in Elijah’s behavior,” Cher alleged in the documents filed by her lawyer. “After he receives his trust distribution, he checks into a hotel, usually the Chateau Marmont, buys and does drugs until he runs out of money, ends up in the hospital, or overdoses. Based on this pattern, if Elijah were to receive his trust distribution, he will use it buy drugs.”
Very sad. Throwing away his life. He may end up dying. A dangerous way to live and a waist of the money and his life.
Being the child of two famous entertainers can be so smothering if the offspring wants to have a career in music or acting or whatever. I imagine it's next to impossible for someone in that position to be successful and be taken seriously.
@robertdee: I can only dream of what I could do with a monthly stipend of $120,000. Probably wouldn't be home much!
The two authors of that Rolling Stone article are obviously extremely confused. They name Devon Allman as Elijah Blue's sister!! And they actually quote "HER" comments on the situation with Elijah.

"The new documents say Elijah still receives $120,000 a month via a trust ......"
Hiya Rob,
Hate to pick nits, but there are many other sites that indicate the amount is $120K per year, or $10K per month. That'll still get you a pile of smack though. Hope he can change his ways.
@slammer: Since the authors think that Devon Allman is Elijah Blue's sister, it's not hard for me to believe that they got the amount of Elijah's monthly stipend wrong.
@robslob $120,000.00 a month sounds way too high to me too. Probably $120,000.00 a year.
His father was Gregg Allman not Eric Clapton or Keith Richards. Gregg wasn't super rich. Apparently worth $18 million dollars at his death in 2017. Not $500 million like Clapton and Richards.
On the other hand, $10 grand a month to blow as you want still is far more money than most people will ever have at their disposal.
According to my research some years ago Dickey was the richest person to have been in the band at $40 million. And that is not Clapton, Eagles, Rolling Stones or Pink Floyd wealth by a good amount.
$10 grand a month!! It's a wonder young Allman is still living.
I hope he someone gets him to Change His Way Of Living.
@robertdee: Apparently Elijah Blue missed Daddy's tune, The High Cost Of Low Living from the record Hittin' The Note. He needs to give it a serious listen.
It's 120k/yr, there's no way GA can pay $120k a month to all of his kids, plus his wife in some kind of long term sitch. Y'all are daft to believe that.
Elijah is locked up, so conservatorship was denied.
