@Boynton - no problem at all. I have no objection. I just got a little annoyed by everyone bashing Butch here. I understand all the issues and , of course, everyone's right to their opinions. But Butch and crew kicked some serious ass yesterday and frankly delivered Wanee's most ABB'ish set, so the bashing seemed unfair and ill-timed. Just being honest.

Great to hear Butch and Friends hit the note. He is my favorite original Allman Brother. I remember, around the time he was starting up Moogis, he posted on the site chastising the folks who referred to JaBuMa as a drum "solo" because there was more than one person participating. He also gave a professorial write up regarding dynamics which helped me understand what the rhythm section in the ABB was building and creating.

I've always though Butch brought the symphonic landscape into an ABB show by titillating the timpani.

I didn't take the captions as mean spirited. But I harbor no ill will toward Butch. I love the guy.

Al, Butch has brought most, if not all, of the grief regarding his quotes, all on by himself. So he is a bit of a player in the comments here. You wrote a book; people comment on net forums. I find it surprising a purveyor of words objects to others.
