Capricorn Compilation Live Album

Any insight appreciated. It is live and some stuff may not be found elsewhere (?) "Richard" Betts: No Hard Times (Winterland 74)

Tony, that is a fantastic album. And VERY RARE - I remember I bought it when it came out because it had one or two live Sea Level cuts and also a cut from Dickey's Highway Call tour that have never been released anywhere else.
Hang onto that. It's DEFINITELY worth some bucks.

Actually the reason it got such poor distribution is that Capricorn went belly - up the first time right after it was released and sank like a stone and just disappeared.
Hence its "rarity." Not too many were pressed.

There are 2 versions of this compilation live album. The double LP version in the pictures, but there's also a single LP version. Only half the songs but all the ABB related content is on the single version. Kinda silly maybe but i own both.
Wow , that brings back memories , I bought this when it came out , I was in my teens , great tunes and I think my first intro to Wet Willie . Have to pull it out for a spin , I had no idea there was a single album version .

I transferred this to digital years ago and it is in constantant rotation on my player

I was in a used record store a few weeks ago and saw a vinyl copy of 1972 mar-i-sol festival for 6 bucks, it had only one tune from the brothers: [come and go blues]
I believe it also had AWTNM on it...
It did:

Have Mar Y Sol also as any analog source ABB is worth having The dual festival album that has some Atlanta Pop ABB is also a good analog tidbit source not commonly had. As for Mar Y Sol, been a while, but looked up festival out of curiosity when got that album a while back. It was evidently a bad mojo bad deal end of festival era thing that had a dark vibe from what I read.

I have a brother and a friend who both attended. They described it as 3 days of hell with some occasional great music. From what I've been told Billy Joel's performance @ Mar Y Sol was what jump started his career.
My favorite tune on that lp is BB's Why I Sing The Blues.

Hey, if your interested ,visit the supermarket of mostly used vinyl & CDs ..... discogs.com .... You can shop for days, these albums are there for very reasonable prices . So much music not enough time!
