I just want to tell y'all HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU.

Saddened, depressed and ashamed at recent events in South Carolina.

And please, don't anyone tell me this belongs on Whipping Post. Some subjects transcend categorization.

I'm with you all the way, but I'd extend those hugs to every member of the human race. I know this was a hate crime-terror act and all that, but this impacts all of humanity. I even pray for that young man who committed this horrible act. The shame belongs to him and to those who put all that hate in his heart and mind. My deepest condolences are certainly with the families and loved ones of the victims. We need love, compassion and understanding in this world - every single one of us.

It Is a tragedy that defies even conversation in a way -- nine people who were in prayer for a better more peaceful world -- we can never have enough hugs all around -- while acknowledging the utter non-issue that race should be

Truly heartbreaking, so sorry for this. Deepest sympathies out to the families torn asunder and waking up this day to the reality that this actually occurred and wasn't just a nightmare. It sure hasn't helped my mood since it happened. Just can't wrap my brain around this one. Another one of those awful tragedies that stabs us all in the heart as a nation. The public forgiveness displayed is an inspiration, a step toward healing for all of us, and certainly has lessened the toxicity of my personal reaction.

You hurt a lot of people but God forgives you, and I forgive you." Felecia Sanders -- mother of victim Tywanza Sanders

As horrible as this event is, it's a gleaming example of love trumping hate. Makes me so proud to be a Charlestonian. This community has given witness to the Nation what civil society is all about.

Every day, our black brothers and sisters are under seige, including by police -- DWB is no acronym, it's racism and it's real -- latest examples, that woman in Texas being abused by a policeman, and a Cincinnati motorist shot dead on the spot by a "campus policeman"

the woman later died in police custody -- cops claiming suicide, those closest to her vehemently denying that

Nope, Charleston, Cincinnati, Texas, many other municipalities -- murderous racism festers still -- if I could I'd give not only my black brothers and sisters but all with loving hearts, a great big hug
