As playallnite and Blackey have suggested the stone/gravemarker may be there but the rest is not complete. I was taken aback because it is so much smaller than the others; but being cremated his remains fit into an urn, though some people put the urns in a casket also. Considering everything that went on over the years with Duane's if they made a mausoleum wall and put all of them in there it might have been better though the fence has stopped the hippie foolishness of wanting to have sex on or near Duane etc.

At least Butch is back with the band members who are there.

As to the placement, well we all know who is going next to Gregg when his time comes. They have to save that spot for him....

Maybe this is not 100% complete Gina, and are Butches ashes interred as well? The way graves are now it seems there is additional areas for future internments.

Not long after Gregg died I read they were planning a memorial wall and Butch's ashes could go in it if the family wanted that. It may be Butch's ashes are not there. And it's a memorial headstone.

Supposedly the IRS took everything which is why Butch died. For Melinda's sake I hope that is not true. Maybe she still has their nice place in Forida and the house in France.

Butch is the only member of the ABB that played every show from 1969 to 2014.

Butch was a great drummer. Glad to see Butch was laid to rest here. Was wondering if anyone has a closeup of the inscription on Butch's headstone.

BUTCH TRUCKS

I always thought Butch would have been the one to write a great book about the Brothers. Not to be.

But we have the great music he made with them and that is what counts. RIP Butch.

Actually, Butch missed one show; I know because I was there. 3/11/14 at the Beacon. Word was he was sick. This was their ill-fated march 2014 Beacon run. Anyway, as I remember Duane Trucks sat in for him. I have the Instant Live somewhere; don't play it much.

How do you know the 'IRS took everything?'

Tax lawyers make deals with the IRS all the time.

This really doesn't sound like the whole story.

I don't know the IRS took everything. That is why I said I hope that is wrong and Melinda still has the places in Florida and France.

Now that it's mentioned, Butch did miss a show at the very end. I think that may have triggered the story that Butch was the only one to never mention a show.
