I'm glad this is being done! Nice work, Al Paul, and thumbs up to those involved. I'm certainly curious about them special guests....
Pete Levin is a beast of a keyboard player, and yes he IS the brother of super bassist Tony Levin.

Thanks all. It should be a great night. Come if you can.

No. it is confusing but there is another keyboardist Pete Levin... not our Peter of Gregg's band, who is great and I'm really looking forward to playing with.

D'oh! My bad...I have seen the Pete Levin who is Tony Levin's brother, and he is a very good player. I assumed that he was the one in Gregg's band also.
That's what happens when you ASSume.

Wish I could go, but will be with that Lil' Old band from Texas at The Beacon that night.

Wow. I had no idea ZZ was in town. I'm inviting Gibbons to join us after.. doubtful, but who knows... andy and I both now BFG pretty well.

I am looking forward to this!
I have heard opening guitarist a few times with other musicians and am looking forward to hearing what his own band sounds like.He is really talented!
I am glad to learn about the 2 Pete Levins as I heard one of them twice years ago sitting in with the Zen Tricksters and was blown away.Tried to look him up to hear him again and always got the site for the "jazz" Peter which confused me.If I understand it right I am in for a treat as the Pete that will be playing this gig is the Peter I am thrilled about.
A couple of questions if anyone knows:
-I have seen Brandon at the Hendrix tribute at the Apollo and several times with Buddy Guy. I thought I saw him once with Derek and perhaps also with Warren.Anybody know about this?
- ballpark estimate of what time the second band starts? Ends? One set, right?
Trying to figure if I need to use a vacation day the nest day as I have a long travel time to and fro/
Thanks in advance for any replies. It is going to one heck of a night for good music!

Doors 7 PM
Brandon 8-9
BIC w/andy, Pete, Junior, etc: 920-12
Our end time is approximate, but we do realize it's a weds night! That's why we're opting for one long set.
Really looking forward to it and glad you can come... this is definitely the Pete Levin you saw... Gregg's guy... I've never played with him and have loved his playing for years... I've played regularly with Andy for 5-6 years and several times with Junior... They are honestly three of my favorite musicians to LISTEN to... having them together with my band is just beyond... and everyone playing is completely devoted to this music and to honoring Butch and his legacy... I am confident the music will be really good and absolutely certain that the intent will be 100 percent pure.

Andy Aledort with Gov't Mule at the Beacon:

Anybody make it? Sorry I couldn't be there.

"It's March in NYC and you know what that means."
