Apparently there was a private tribute to Butch last night.

Glad they were able to do this, privately and without the fanfare, for family and loved ones.

As it should be

I agree with Islalala that a private tribute, with just family and close friends, was fitting. At the same time, we all take pride in being part of the extended ABB family and I hope that this tribute was taped so the fans (you and me) who supported Butch and the gang for more than 40 years can also share in it. Also, I'm curious -- was this an invitation-only tribute or could ordinary fans get in to pay their respects? Either way, it's terrific that all of these busy people found the time to travel to Macon to honor Butch and I'm assuming Gregg had a legitimate reason (health?) for not being there. ... Pax...

Thanks for posting this, you beat me to it. Great photos too.

Seems a couple of people were missing though.
