If anyone here is in or around the Dallas area, Buddy Guy will be at the Granada Theater on Wed. Sept. 19. Tickets are $90 each, and it's standing room only. It's a small venue as well. Holds maybe 1000 people, maybe a little less. I'll probably have to miss it since it's on a week night, but just thought I'd let others know about it who might want to see him live.
We see him every time he's close.
It's pretty much the same show every night but he's a living legend and unlike BB King's last years, Buddy can still play.
Yeah BB not only had to sit but he didn't play very well the last time I saw him. He sang pretty good but he couldn't
do a run on his guitar without hitting some clams and that was a shame. He was such a legend. Great voice and so smooth on the guitar and the best single finger vibrato I've ever heard. Clapton said he and other guitar players he knows would just kill to have BB's vibrato. Amen. BB was a national treasure. We lost a great player when he passed.
