Seems I recall reading that when asked years back , where there any contemporary songs that he did not write but wish he had, supposedly Bob answered Ramblin Man! He was quoted as saying something like the songs simplistic beauty was shear perfection???...........Peace......joe

Bob admires Dickey-his songwriting and loved his guitar playing.
Dickey did a great acoustic version of Tangled up in blue,I recall,
on an album of his I got.
Bob ripped of the song title.
A genius knows how to steal.
And maintain a great sense of humor.
His Bobness and Dickey played Ramblin Man live together back in '95.
"Dylan says, “Let’s do ‘Ramblin’ Man.”
“All right, let me write the words down,” Betts tells him.
“I know the words,” Dylan says. “I should have wrote that song."
