Weird to hear about the Blues from an extremely white guy with a $200 haircut and wearing a fancy suit but he's right - Blues is the foundation for so many types of roots music, including rock and roll, country and even jazz. Another reason - most guitar players cut their teeth on Blues progressions and riffs. That Blues is the basis for so much of "Classic Rock" - timeless music from bands like the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, the Allman Brothers etc - means that the Blues will be relevant ... probably forever!
