I caught both shows by Blackberry Smoke @ NY's City Winery and I would've loved 2 more. This is from night two. They covered a lot of their material, but there are so many tunes I love that didn't make either set list on either night (Good One Comin' On, 6 Ways To Sunday, Up In Smoke, Sleeping Dogs, etc, etc). They only doubled up 3 songs that fans love One Horse Town, Ain't Much Left Of Me, & I Ain't Got The Blues. They played from their 1st song Sanctified Woman to great songs off their new disc like my personal fav Run Away From It All (and by the crowd's reaction I'm not alone!). The rest was songs spread out from their decades old career along with a few sweet covers in both nights by the Stones, The Band, Ray Charles, Bill Monroe, Townes Van Zandt, Elton John, The Grateful Dead, & Tom Petty.

This band is one of the best things happening in our music scene today. Don't let the world pass you by. The whole band is great and Charlie is a bonified Starr! I may have to hit both shows in Brooklyn on Sept 6th & 7th in hopes of getting to hear a couple of them unplayed gems not played here. What do they say... "Always keep 'em wanting more".
