Black Sabbath @ MSG Tonight

Not my usual type of concert, but making a point to see the classics while they are still available! Anyone else going or seen them recently with an opinion on what to expect?

I saw them last tour and it worth seeing them just to see Iommi do his thing. Oozy is completely hit and miss with his vocals. Enjoy it and give a report.

I am going tonight. Saw them last year at Barclay's. Very good show. But the OP is right. Ozzy is completely hit or miss.

Great time at MSG with Black Sabbath tonight! Not my typical style (this one was a "wife's choice) but it was a great show. Ozzy was in fine voice and Tony Iommi can play that guitar. Great bass and drums also as well as a hidden behind the curtain keyboard player. A regular BS fan who had seen them many times said this was the best they have sounded. Good hard rocking evening!

I'm one who saw Sabbath many times in the early days, also the 1999 reunion tour, for a total of six times. I don't go to see them anymore although I admit I'm tempted. I just figure at 61 I've had my time with the band.
That said, a friend of mine who is a local blues DJ went to see their recent show in San Jose. He's not a big fan but had never seen them and wanted to catch them before they hang it up. He was absolutely bonkers over the show, in fact told me that I must go see them when they return to the Bay area (Oakland) in September. I don't plan to go, but that's not the point. I trust this guy's opinion and I know it was really a great show for him to rave that much about it.

Went to the Garden show last night. WOW !!
First time seeing them in 16yrs. What a performance. Band very tight, Ozzy sounded great. dont know if his vocals are somehow enhanced, but he really sounded good. Geezer was absolutely ferocious on that bass. did not hear a single off note from tony all night. flawless. what an amazing sound. if anyone is a Sabbath fan at all, do yourself a favor and see these guys. I figured this may be the last chance to see these guys, and if it was, they could not go out on a higher note in my book. show a little short at about 100 min or so, but I left completely satisfied, as it was quite an intense 100 min. mostly played from first 4 albums, including most of masters of reality. the inclusion of "hand of doom" was quite a treat. notably missing was sweetleaf, and given the current state of the leaf in this country, it certainly wold have been apropos.

Asw a couple of reasonable tickets show up on stubhub that lower level on the side that states limited view. Anyone know if there is any obstruction to worry about?

I seen them in Vancouver tonight.... it was a great show and the best I've heard Ozzy sound in years!
His voice cracked a bit in about the middle of Snowblind, he looked pissed off about it and was great after that one little warble.
I was worried about his voice going in but I'm so glad I seen them and what a way to go out... just wish Bill Ward could have been there but the band sounded tight and heavy!
