Better Call Saul

Well i started rather late watching the critically aclaimed AMC's "Breaking Bad". Watched all seasons in approx. a month time (bought the boxset last december) so i would ready for the season start of "Better Call Saul". Had high expectations but can't say i'm dissapointed. I like it so far. Like it a lot. Good to hear that there will be a season 2 (as expected). Once again acting, plot, dialogues, music and camerawork are top notch. Okay, the Saul Goodman / Jimmy McGill and Mike Ehrmantraut characters look older then they did in "Breaking Bad" while this new show takes place 6 years earlier than the Heisenberg days but that isn't such an issue so far (although it could become one if this show will also run for 5 or 6 seasons). Vince Gilligan for me is the TV equilevant of Quentin Tarantino. And i fully agree with this review: "Better Call Saul has significant promise as a standalone series that could come to rival it's predecessor." Time will tell. Looking forward to episode 4.

I like BCS, too, but there is no way it has started out the gate in a full gallop like Breaking Bad. By episode 3 Walt had already killed and hydrochlorided two guys and started cleaning off all the blood and leftover guts that fell through Jesse's corroded bathtub to the first floor of his house. So even though Tuco broke a couple guys' legs in episode two of BCS there's simply no comparison.

Love the show..Great to see Mike,,but yes, I have high expectations too, partly because how outstanding Breaking Bad was. So far, so good..Pretty funny seeing Tuco!

I'm sure there will be plenty more violence and gore along presently....
WTF?

Yeah, I was just kidding. BCS is perking along just fine. The story and characters are excellent and like its predecessor we have no earthly idea where the story line will take us. It's never going to be as violent as Breaking Bad when there's no Walter White involved but that's ok, I'm sure there will be other nuances and quirks just as amusing.

And I meant to say that I love the correlation between Vince Gilligan and Quentin Tarantino! Any True Romance fans around here? That's one of my favorite QT flicks!
