Wow, very cool. Ron Howard will do a fantastic job. Thanks for the heads up - have been on a Beatles revival lately, so this is perfect.

You're welcome, both of you! Grin

If you really want to get serious about expanding your Beatles holdings, go to http://manuelbeatlogs.blogspot.com/ I've downloaded hundred of outtakes, alternate versions, etc. There are songs they wrote and recorded, but never released. IIRC there are songs from early 1960 by the Silver Beetles: John, Paul, George, and Stu. They're rudimentary, but interesting.

Go through the archives in the right column, see what's there, and grab music and print materials. The password you'll need is below the link, so it's no big deal, I hope. It's been a couple of years since I used this, so you may need to kluge some.

It's easy to figure out and it's a gold mine for Beatles fanatics (like me).

As I write this I'm listening to Live at the Hollywood Bowl and it's better than I'd hoped. The sound is really good, the instruments and vocals are very clear, and the crowd noise is lower than the first time around. It's not perfect, but I think it captures the raw excitement of the band and the crowd. Considering what Giles and co. had to work with, IMHO it's a brilliant recapture of the most influential band in the history of rock.

Buy it if you like the Beatles at all. Strap on your headphones, and play it loud! Grin
