bars near Radio City?

I'm a NYC novice. I lucked out with finding Dive 75 before the TTB show.
This coming Saturday, we will be seeing Wilco at Radio City. My pal says the immediate area is full of touristy places and chain establishments, but he found a place called Sean's Bar and Restaurant that he thought might be OK. We are looking for good beer and decent pub grub, nuthin fancy.
Any recommendations?

just a few blocks away on the corner of 55 th and 8 th ave.. Matts Grill....small, clean local neighborhood bar /pub good food.. friends of mine have owned for years....its a good recommendation based on what your looking for... arounf the corner on 55 th.. is Nocellos very nice Italian... more up scale but good food and prices.. Matts a winner.....say hey to Teri.. owner..

Yankweed, that sounds promising! Thank you!!
However, I googled Matt's Grill, and Yelp suggests it may have closed. Matt's Grill's Facebook page doesn't have any postings from 2019 -

THE BAR WAS SOLD CLOSED.. enjoy theother place looks very do able..n joy

Animal House: They took the whole bar:

Jimmy's Corner is a short walk from Radio City. 44 Street 6th (Ave of the Americas) to 7th Ave. Dive bar, no food though. Make a quick stop before you go somewhere else to eat. Not touristy and one of my area favorites. I think you'll probably enjoy the stop.
Be safe.
