Badfinger: "No Matter What", Midnight Special

An Apple Records band, and The Beatles' influence is all over them. Always loved this tune.........

Here's another one, Baby Blue:
Damn, that is SUCH a sad, SAD tale, pops42. All I ever knew was that Pete Ham committed suicide, I never knew why. And I never knew that ANOTHER band member did the same! DAMN.
I tell you, if I hear ONE more story about musicians who got screwed by entrepreneurs in the 60's or 70's. I hope that MF who did that to them is turning in his grave.................

Nillson made "Without You" a hit, but the original version is the best, one of the most heartbreaking songs about romantic loss:

Another GREAT tune and thanks for posting. It's been 45 years so I had forgotten that they originally did that song.
Pops42's video made me think that this has got to be one of the saddest tales in the history of rock and roll. So painful, I don't know if I could watch it again.............

You're welcome, Robslob.
Before they were Badfinger, they were the Iveys; this was the band that got them signed to Apple after Paul and Mal heard them. Paul changed the name, wrote them a song ("Come and Get It"), and they climbed into the roller coaster.
Here's a recent song (no idea when), "Suitcase":
Note the slide guitar...
