At Fillmore East

I've been thinking of getting the recent Fillmore boxed set with the 6 cds. The current version I own is called The Fillmore Concerts. Which version would you prefer?

My favorite so far...

This is my recommended version aka somebody has to be a wise guy, would probably involve buying gear for you so, nah...... but it does sound really good, no bonus tracks however....

I have the original vinyl, a copy of the quadrophonic release somewhere, The Fillmore Concerts, the Deluxr version, and the box set.
go with the box
I think the Deluxe and original are better than the Fillmore concerts - to my ears the mix isn't as good on the Fillmore Concerts.

I've got my 1st print vinyl from back in the day. The Fillmore Concerts that you mentioned, which I think is pretty good.
Also, picked up the 6 CD set which is really good. Nice to hear how the band and the songs grew in that timeframe. I could do without the horns though.

Depends on how hardcore you are as the Box set is basically the same set each night but as others know they never played the same song the same so each show is enjoyable. Also the mix of the box set is excellent IMHO and is basically untampered with which for me is a bonus so that would be my choice.
That being said I highly recommend a first pressing pink label version of the original vinyl if you can find one in good shape as it sounds outstanding
Here is a good forum comparing the versions

Blu Ray for me but I did pick up the 6 CD as well .
DTS disc for the Quad Mix

Just curious, I have the pink label. Do you really think it sounds better than any other version?
