Archive Release Suggestions

7/2/1991 Paris France
I have a terrible recording of this shoe and still listen to it every now and then because it is that good. PEAK of their game. PLEASE RELEASE THIS SHOW.

a double or triple cd or (if poss) dvd compilation of each of the various renditions of abb, doing 1 or 2 tracks-from earliest to most recent...but cover every member, with some sort of photo album that everyone could see them performing onstage.
And maybe a special place for Duane as the original creative force.

I've said it a bunch of times on here, so what's one more...
They need a "History Of The Eagles" or "Runnin Down A Dream" type documentary done on the band with all of the living former members commenting using every bit of existing footage to give this band a historical perspective that it deserves. Not the generic "After the Crash" type documentaries where it isn't official, something everyone is involved in and getting the official word out there. It's already years too late for something like this. Now they'd have to use archival interviews for so many of the people covered.
That said, better late than never.

What I hope for is something that hasn't been in trading circles for years.
Is that too much to ask for?
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

1996 True Gravity show - Toronto, Red Rocks etc.
1997-1998 Jack Pearson show with Everyday, I'm Not Cryin' Dimples, High Falls and of course, Dreams.
1998 Great Woods DVD.
Haven't heard it in a while but I'm pretty sure Red Rocks 96 is a sloppy-at-best show. Pine Knob 96 would be a great 96 True Gravity show. Also, I believe Riverbend OH was a great one.
That said, I second Old Coot: something that hasn't been out there.

That may sound totally reasonable, but chances are if a show is worth hearing, it has been out there in the taping/trading community.
I do get your point. That is why I suggested 5/17/05, the only recent ABB show I know of that has no Instant Live, no audience recordings, nothing, zip, nada.

I gotta believe Kirk West has stacks of boards that haven't seen the light of trading circles

I would like to see more video released, especially rare earlier stuff.
Video
1. 7/1970 Atlanta Pop Festival
2. 4/7/1972 Manley Fieldhouse Syracuse, NY
It was filmed, but footage is still being tracked down.
3. 9/26/1973 Winterland Ballroom San Francisco, CA
From Kirk West: "there is also the complete 9/26/73 winterland show on 3 camera pro shot b & w. we have the master and multi- track audio."
4. 11/25/1975 Civic Center Providence, RI
Jimmy Carter benefit. At least "One Way Out" was filmed, unsure if any other footage survived.
5. 3/13/1976 Nassau Coliseum Uniondale, NY
At least "Ramblin' Man" was shot, unsure if any other footage survived.
6. Any other pro shot footage we are unaware of...
Audio
Anything with Jack Pearson!

Could be wrong about this, but, weren't the show archives part of the Big House sale etc.?

..... ....
... what? .,..
HS please tell me this doesn't mean what I think that means.

Coot my friend you disappoint me. Think about this, you are going to sell your house and all the contents that are in it. Do you make copies of those ABB shows first, or just let them go...?

True, but this IS the ABB we're talking about. It's a little worrisome.

Gosh -- hadn't heard about the Big House being sold -- so the Big House museum is under new 'ownership', with Kirk's priceless collection now the property of the new owners? -- things do happen, best wishes to all

Truly not trying to stir anything, I'm just not. In response to an earlier post I'm just recollecting that someone had told me (and my memory ain't what it used to be) that the shows were part of the purchase by the Foundation. It's entirely possible that I could be wrong about that, but that's what I recall. I would think someone with knowledge of the Foundation could say one way or the other, unfortunately, given circumstances, there isn't as much traffic here as in yesteryear.
Hi Jimmy! I disappoint you, how so?
Back at the start of this thread, the article quoting Bert Holman seems to indicate that there would be lots of possibilities for releases, I certainly hope so!
I will say again though that most of what gets mentioned is either repackaging of earlier releases or material that has been in the trading circles for years and years. Avid fans more than likely have heard it before or have a copy acquired through trading. My wish is that the management would put out material that is a fresh listen for everyone.
