3/11/98. Jack's take on that evenings Blue Sky and Nobody Knows are great. Dickey's on AWTNM is great. I wore that analog cassette out. Probably my most played ABB on tape.

The 3/14/98 webcast would be a nice video release along with the 9/19/98 PPV.

3/26/99. Any of these from 7/30/00, 8/6/00, 9/22, 23, & 24/00. 3/16/01. The Beach to Peach run was great and I thought night 2 in Raleigh 8/3/01 was a nice one. A great LMBAH, Jessica, Hot 'Lanta, a Franklin's Tower with like 11 people on stage(all of Phil's band), and a great Dreams.

Glad the Fillmore West From January '71 with Hot Tuna will see a release. I'd heard it had been ready since the last archive was released in 2007 but was vetoed by a member.

There definitely needs to be a '96 show release with one of those massive versions of True Gravity. I know the Red Rocks show well, but there could be other better examples I haven't heard.

Last but not least, the 5/17/05 NOLA show that many people said was the best Warren/Derek show ever has never once circulated. No audience recording allowed at the show, no tapers, so the only way we are going to hear this legendary show is through an official soundboard release.

unfortunately a grey area release of the MTV Unplugged session has been put out in Europe. The band won't be seeing any cash from the sales of this disc, unless they put out a full remastered version on their own label.

I think it's confirmed that there is a lot of Atlanta Pop footage. The problem is that there must be a lot of promoters and companies and bands with claims on the rights and any money that comes from releasing it and that has to be worked out somehow before it can be released.

Some of those tracks wound up on Johnny Jenkins' great album Ton-Ton Macoute! Duane is on half the album and Berry and Jaimoe and Butch are on a couple of songs each. Jaimoe is on timables and not a drum kit, but I Walk on Gilded Splinters and Voodoo in You must be the first times Butch and Jaimoe recorded together. Johnny Sandlin did the rest of the drumming. I have no idea if there are songs that didn't get released, but if there are, or studio jams, that would be very cool.

That was my first show! Haven't heard it since then, it was a monster as I recall. I listen to Reno 1996 quite often (though it's minus Jaimoe), Woody's "Mountain Jam" solo in the middle of "True Gravity" is sublime.

If anything is put together from the Instant Live recordings, one thing absolutely, positively must be included -- the ABB version of Layla from Charlotte, N.C., on 8-9-2003. I've heard the ABB do this song several times and, of course, Derek with Clapton, but Derek's slide work on this 2003 version is simply incredible.

Last but not least, the 5/17/05 NOLA show--that's on my list too...as a matter of fact it's the ONLY one on my list! I finally gave up bothering people about releasing this but that was a pretty amazing night. got my fingers crossed! patrick

The entire Jimi Hendrix Atlanta Pop show has been released on DVD and it is incredible. The audio and video quality are great, so if the ABB footage is of similar quality it would be well worth an official release.

I think the owners of the footage had dreams of a big Woodstock type movie about the whole festival, but they must have given up that dream when they sold the Hendrix footage. Maybe the ABB is next?

I floated this same idea before. Part of my frustration about the fact that a 2nd ABB studio album with Derek and Warren never happened is that the tunes were there. There was a solid album to be had among the choices you suggested.

I would add the Charlotte 10/4/09 Charlotte versions of No One To Run With and Rocking Horse. The band added distinct jams to both of those tunes that are not in any officially released version, and those jams are some of my favorite music the Derek/Warren lineup ever created.

I would like to see stuff from the different eras. I have so much of the most recent incarnation of the band from the Instant Live, they all kind of of run together except for a few. This is just my opinion, but sometimes getting releases of the same sets/eras ,no matter what band/group is, seems to lose its luster.

More of The Dickey/Warren era, definitely more Jack stuff too.

good points on the ILs, they did a great job w/that (2004 Great Woods>next night NH ) -- the Warren/Woody era is well covered w/Evening With, 2nd Set, Play All Night -- DAT/boards of 1994 shows like May Warfield Theatre SF, Great Woods post Woodstock show, many others from this era would/do sound virtually as good

the 1st lineup of this era w/Johnny Neel did some cool stuff too & mayb an archive release from then (Oct. 89 Orpheum? 😛 )

Easily one of the best shows from the Warren Woody lineup. The jam after What's Done Is Done is Dickey at his best. My favorite performance. Same Thing has a Layla jam at the end. Whole show is very well played. Love to have a good recording as I have only a passable audience

I want to add 9/3/96 Fillmore West, SF, CA just for the Steve Kimock sit in(as the only others are already documented on IL's, a few from '07 and one from '13). Alvin Youngblood Hart and Duane Betts do too. Dickey was AWOL as he'd abandoned the band to go play golf and then fly back to FL. Late era Warren and Woody show and not long before the end of line with that lineup.
