My wife wanted me to try for 2 tickets for her. MSG or Texas venues.

I hadn't bought any tickets on TM for a while, they changed the process a little. I had to wait 10 minutes just to get to the ticket selection screen, then I had to wait about 45 minutes only to be told no tickets were available. Had a couple different windows going with no tickets.

I see on ebay that a pair are being listed for over $1000! One date in Austin, Tx has just 3 available listings all $1400 and up for a pair! Face value on those is probably about $300.

Six nights at MSG and two nights in Dallas, two in Houston and two in Austin, all no go? Twelve shows? 😮

Effin' ticket business. Mad

I had a pre-sale code for yesterday. Didn't try until several hours after it started and every single show was sold out except for VIP levels. Tried the "Bronze" level for DC and it too was sold out.

I'm not too worried. Buying tickets nearly a year out seems ridiculous. I didn't do it for The Who, and sure enough, they postponed. I also refuse to buy tickets, except in rare cases, where I can't pick the seats. Ticketmaster never seems to know what's really 'best available'.

I'm sure seats will be available closer to the shows for those folks who really want to go.

Hey Pops... the wife never complains about the shows I attend. She usually stays home, which makes it seem like I'm getting in for half price.

When she wants to go to a show... I do my best to accommodate.

I did draw the line as Sam Shepherd (?)...

I tried to get into one of the Boston shows
as luck would have it, I had some time at work at 10:00 AM. Got right in queue, no luck after about 25 minutes of trying

A voice like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. Mad

Funny you mentioned this as I happened to catch her new single on the radio today and tried to figure out what her voice would sound like live. I think she has incredible pipes, but I can't get over what I perceive to be VERY overproduced vocal gimmickry on the studio releases I've heard from her. Her new single being no different. All the studio garbage gets in the way of what is probably a fantastic voice. At least to my ears...

Given that many artists today use all sorts of vocal aides while performing live, I truly wonder how great her natural "Un-tweeked" voice is.

I thought she sounded quite good on the Radio City special o NBC. I wasn' aware (but wouldn't be surprised) about vocal aides in live performances.

My wife is absolutely in love with her songs and voice. For her it is Streisand and Adele - those are her favorites. Thankfully she likes good music too like ABB, CCR, Zeppelin, Johnny Cash, etc.

I knew it was going to be a really tough ticket, but still hoped I could land something for her. I hadn't planned on attending, she said she'd ask someone else without me even having to say anything.

Hmm. Thanks for the reply. I'll keep an eye out for that performance.

To be clear, I have no idea if Adele uses vocal aids during her live performances. In fact, she probably doesn't. I'm wondering from those who have seen her if live, if she's in fact as goes as she sounds on the studio stuff.

Her first album sounded more raw to me but this new album has more vocal effects. At least to my ears.

The Adele crowd is probably boring as hell to be around.
