Wow blast from the past. Only heard a bit way back.- good hard rock. Was recently thinking about all those lesser lights of the early 70s, so many great bands

Don't know if I saw Budgie back in the day! I must have done as they were perennial support act on tours.

Power trio from Wales, solid enough riffers but not in the same league as, say, Taste.

I had a friend who worked a my local music store who used to give me posters , I had the poster for Budgie's " Bandolier " album hanging in my room for several years , I never listened to them that much but really dug the poster , they had some cool album artwork that's for sure .

Now I remember, since you mentioned the Budgie album art - I think that was Roger Dean? On a couple of records anyway.

confirmed on image search, here's a couple

Never saw them live but wore out the grooves on those albums. The Burke Shelley - Tony Bourge version was the best. Budgie, Squawk, In For The Kill, Never Turn Your Back On A Friend, Bandolier, and If I Were Brittania I'd Wave The Rules were staples of ours through the 70's and early 80's.
