I've always been a casual Toto fan, mostly due to an older brother who owned a few Toto albums and because you simply can't escape it if you listen to "Classic Rock" radio from time to time.

I've also appreciated the talent that is Steve Lukather for many years now.....Anyway, I happened to check out Palladia Friday evening as I was not in attendance at this year's Mt. Jam and thus hanging at home craving some good live music. Low and behold I stumbled upon Toto's 35th Anniversary show filmed in Poland......All I can say is they really kick ass live!

Super tight band, great vocals, huge sound, and great lighting and stage set-up. In addition, great sound production. And I had no idea that Steve Lukather was so incredible on guitar. Great tone, fantastic technique, and very tasty licks....and when he chooses to, Shreds like the best of them. I knew he was a great player (there's a reason he's played on shitloads of albums and is a very much in demand studio musician) but didn't realize he was this good....And the band Jams too. They extended many of their hits with cool solos and nice spotinaity.

If you're a fan of Toto or live music in general, you must check out this show. As with all things Palladia, I'm sure this show will be rebroadcast. A great 2.5 hours of music for your listening and visual pleasure.

Does Palladia still crank the volume of their commercials twice as loud as the program?

Chain, I am surprised you didn't stream Friday's Mountain Jam on the computer??? It was an awesome day of music and all they asked for is a donation over $5.00. It was more than worth it from Trigger Hippy to The Mother Hips to Joe Russo's Almost Dead to Grace Potter and her band to Robert Plant and his band to an amazing Dark Side of the Mule two hour set to close it out. That was a lot of music for 5 bucks and the stream was stellar.

Not so much on Saturday where I paid the $5 just to watch the 2 hour Gov't Mule set. I didn't like any of the other Saturday acts except for maybe Rusted Root. Mule kicked ass on the mountain as always!

Unfortunately Chain lives in one of those areas where you can't get hi-speed internet so streaming Mtn Jam would have been an effort in futility. I hope they re-run the Toto show as I was at camp this weekend and missed it.

Smatter beat me to it....I can only get DSL where I live and shitty DSL at that.....Time Warner line stops literally a mile from my house and so no Roadrunner option. And given i live in America, broadband won't be coming to my neighborhood anytime this century I suspect.

Besides, I might have gotten a bit melancholy watching Mt. Jam from my couch rather than being there given this is only the second one I've missed in its entire history.

Wow! That is a good deal......Wish I could get broadband out here in the sticks!
