That one really is a great insight into GA. Catching him at the 84 road dog lows of a jammed tour bus. He was pretty open at that time. An example is where he talks of shooting up, in contrast to later interviews where he says his Hep C was from a tattoo. Nobody really knows where they got it. I fought Hep C for 5 years to avoid the 10% chance of liver cancer, that I knew I would get if I didn't kill the dragon. My viral level was off the charts. I feel almost guilty my path was good and his what I was so scared of. 🙁

And after reading that article who would have predicted what would have occurred in Gregg's career starting in 1987 with I'm No Angel and then the 25 year ABB reunion. Goodness was that level of success and acclaim (and later sobriety) improbable.

I actually thought that article set him up almost perfectly for what was to come later on with I'm No Angel, etc.
