Anders Osborne @The City Winery, NY 3/15/19

This Gent is a blessed and cursed individual. He's been given gifts from above and toiled for his talents. He has an electric band and show, but this was an intimate acoustic offering. He did get a little cosmic at times though. He's an amazing songwriter and entertainer. I love this guy. I went to both his Early and Late Shows. He dug deep into his catalogue talking stories on some. He had some different deliveries for some tunes. Always fun, interesting, and charismatic. He's been creating music for just about 3 decades and has a wealth of tunes and takes to share. His take on Mind Of A Junkie was more of an instrumental angst than a vocal angst which he's performed in the past. If you've never dabbled, He's a Great Night Out!
Happy St. Patty's Day!

Anders is a real treasure, and is always awesome live. I was late getting on the Anders train, but have been hooked since hearing him for the first time in 2008. He is way up high on my list of favorites!

Thank you for the Anders. He has skyrocketed to my favorite live performer for the last 8 years or so. Always a different band and players depending on where he is and mixes it up wonderfully. His musical output over for the last decade is impressive. 3 albums due out this year.

My brother is a huge Anders fan and has become good friends with him. I have had many opportunities to see him live and bit the bullet when I flew to St. Louis to see Springsteen on the River tour in 2016. Anders played a small club with his band the night before and when I saw him live, I was underwhelmed. Did not think he stood out as a guitar player or singer and just did not get it.
Maybe I ought to give him another shot.

I Love Anders as well.I can see why he’s not everyone’s cup of tea.He can be very qerkee at times hard to understand.Fretsman says comic I love that he can just go off in a jam and than come back so cool.Ive see him a # of times over the last few years and enjoyed them all.His stage presence is just killer reminds me of a young Neil Young the way he puts him body into it love it.His song writeing just resonates with me songs like Coming down,Lucky one, five bullets,to many to list all about Love, loss, family, addiction,& recovery real life Shit.On the road to Charlie Parker not any more.Peace

Relix has some tunes to sample from Anders Osborne's new album Buddha And The Blues that's due out on Friday.

I love the new album version of the song Running, Full band is great, I loved the City Winery version. Here's the video of him from that night solo acoustic....
