Nice. When I saw TR way back when, I didn't know much about a him. My friend was a big fan. The song I remember most that evening was Tiny Demons. Good stuff!

Have fun!

Sorry about the - no Oregon shows.

While on his website, I noticed this way out in August, how crazy is this?

I am not near the type of fan who would consider doing this, but on the site, all the room types are sold out except one.

An Invitation From Todd

THE HILLS ARE ALIVE!!!
Climb Every Mountain! Ford Every Stream! Flee From Fascist Oppression!

Please join us as we return to the Great Northeast in grand style. On August 22nd-26th, 2016 we take over the famous Trapp Family Resort in Stowe, Vermont for Todd Rundgren’s TyRolean Getaway. Enjoy the alpine splendor as we while away the hours in the company of familiar faces and new friends.

Amenities are all on-site and ours alone to enjoy (no competition from the bar band!), including several swimming pools, 20 person hot tub, tennis courts, rock climbing wall, micro brewery, wine cellar, gardens and extensive trails. Dining is farm-to-table and promises to be some of the best we have ever had.

Music is guaranteed every night, with a special performance by the host and his band on the final evening. Jammers, bring your instruments. And rest assured, there will be guests! And perhaps even Bingo!

The theme this summer is, of course, The Sound Of Music. We will be reenacting scenes and songs from the musical with campers as the cast. We encourage you to dress accordingly: bring your lederhosen, put on your polka dress! And we need nuns, lots of nuns.

So mark your calendar and reserve your slot for Todd Rundgren’s TyRolean Getaway.

The hills are alive!

I wonder why no DC area shows. He has been playing nearly twice a year in the area.

I saw Utopia twice in the early 80's. I am very tempted to hit the Brooklyn Bowl show.

Asked the wife if she was game, and we are going to Brooklyn - just grabbed 2 tix for 5/24.

One of the two times I almost got trampled was at a Todd show in Ohio, 1979 or around then. It was right around the time of the big Who stampede. It was like a craze in Ohio, rushing in to the show. I was first, before everyone, took it easy got up to the stage, then a tsunami of people just crashed into me, literally trying to climb over me as Todd unleashed "Road To Utopia". I couldn't breathe, almost passed out, somehow managed to escape. Death by Todd, not my first choice.

The other NDE was at a Butthole Surfers show in Olympia, mid-80's. It was punish the hippy time at the punk show, this was before grunge.

NDE courtesy of the Surfers... nice one!!! not much talk of them TX ffolkes round here, but boy howdy have they done weird stuff to my brain, esp in person. there ain't nothing like it when, dare i say, "The Original" Reverend Haynes and company are hittin the note!! Bring on the fire dancers, midgets, & surgical films!!

Hopefully you won't get a drunken aging fan trying to relive his past by overindulging and trying to enjoy the show, wait, that was me, never mind. Hope your show is an awesome one.
