I just seen where Alan Paul reposted an article about the making of “Southern Blood” on his site and read it for the first time. It is very well done. This is a powerful record and I can only imagine the emotions Mr Allman went thru while doing it. Great job Mr Paul.

Just can't stop playing this album. Yeah it's tough. Gregg is just so damn good though. It makes me go back and listen closer to his vocals throughout the years and appreciate it even more and more. He is special. I think his writing, vocals, keyboard and guitar playing make him just as amazing as his brother. And I think Duane was the best.

Article is a nice reflection on the man. I really like the you tube studio version of Love Like Kerosene where he talks about taking that song on the road an f kicking a@@ Gotta love his eternal optimism.
