Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

Thanks, I'll keep my eye out and will probably buy it.

You can check out Amazon UK for a few more questionably legal releases like this that have come out in the past year or so. Some good stuff out there.

save your money...this show is terrible.

In terms of audio quality or the performance, dadof 2?
I'm curious about the CD because that's the first time I saw the ABB. It was the spring semester of my freshman year of college. We had a blast at the show, but we were also partying hard, and it was 30 years ago, so I'm curious to hear it now.

Save your money you can find on a trade around here or a bnp or a vine. Myself I don't have it.

It has definitely been around the trade circles for years along with sets from other artists at the show. I would offer it up but I have no burner at the moment but a request in the trade section should get it right away.
If you were there Jim then you should grab a copy. If no one can help out, you can have mine. Deserves to be with you more than me.

There's also this grainy film/video of the first 50 minutes of this concert, which I didn't know existed until I just stumbled across it. Hopefully this link works:

I bought this and like it as a representation of this incarnation of the ABB.

Performance...with all the incredible music, spanning eras and lineups that the Allmans have given us,why anyone would want this concert is beyond me.
Jim-I understand if you were there...but the guys were not in good shape at that show and it sounded awful...the guests merely added to the mess...no virtuoso performances here!

dadof2 (as am I) I think you're missing the point. Granted, the performance isn't great, but you have to put it in historical perspective. At that time, there was no ABB -- they had broken up again after the whole Brothers of the Road thing -- and the fact that they were together on stage again -- and with Chuck Leavell, no less -- gave everybody hope that our favorite band might live again.
It didn't happen with that lineup, although they did play together at Volunteer Jam, but for one night, at least, the Allman Brothers Band lived again playing the songs that we love, and it was recorded and even filmed. That is why this is a nice thing to have from a fan's standpoint, even though we realize we could buy any Instant Live from the Warren-Derek era and get a better concert. Plus you have them playing with a legend like Paul Butterfield and playing Good Lovin' with Felix Cavlieri -- that's great stuff you can't get anywhere else.

my point was narrow-i was asked about the performance and i gave my opinion. It's all a matter of taste.
I've seen many eras of the ABB since '73 & the lineup with Toler & the band featured here is imo,a lineup i don't prefer and at the time, and after attending this show i would not have wanted this group to reunite.Nice to have Chuck but this was just a bad show-if you feel this represents an important, historical moment in ABB history, cool! i just kinda see it differently-some folks are selling some second rate concert---i'd prefer all the archived music & video pf the Brothers we haven't seen-like Atlanta Pop--but not this show.Just my opinion-i respect your different perspective!
