Anybody else see this? Doing a search I saw this pop up on Amazon UK. It says it was recorded on a Saturday evening at the Cal Expo Amphitheater in Sacramento.....Says it is from Refractor Records and it was just released at the end of last month...

Here is the link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/BACK-SADDLE-LIVE-1991-2CD-y/dp/B01CUM35W0/ref=sr_1_3?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1462421542&sr=1-3&keywords=allman+brothers+live

From the title I thought maybe it was an obscure Aerosmith release.

I thought it was going to be about a long forgotten local SF bluegrass band with that name.....

This can't be an ABB authorized release............can it? And if not........wouldn't they sue over this?

I doubt it very much that it's authorized. Probably a bootleg. Europe has kind of a grey area in regards to bootlegs. Betcha this is one of those.

I think the rule in Europe is that any radio broadcast that is over 20 years old is public domain. That's how these gray market releases get out without any litigation.

these may be gray area, but they do look good. i'd love to hear any soundboard of Blue Sky and Revival from this era.

The other albums that the UK offers that are similar to this purchase are also pretty cool.

These are all shows that have been traded since those years. All through the 90s there was a steady flow of soundboards leaked out to the trading community and they include all of those European bootleg releases.

Visit the trade section here and you have find all sorts of goodies.

The ABB has been missing a steady easy income for years now by not making all of those shows available as downloads. Then you get botched concepts like Moogis which was a complicated endeavor and ends up screwing fans. But neglect the simple potential revenue? It's The ABB way I guess.

Thought from the title of the thread that it was a recording of the time they tried out Steven Tyler as Gregg's replacement. 😉
