Allman Brothers ,, This is a mystery date and I’m unsure of the venue Jessica—Mountain Jam — Jessica, Whipping Post. This clip has piano player to the right who I believe is Johnny Neel. Was a member of the band from 1989 -1990. Thinking this clip is a from 1990 show.

It seems to start with the encore. Audience is screaming and banging for more and Gregg sits down and says " Can't stop now!!"

At the piano break Warren, Dickey and Woody stop playing for a good bit and a roadie comes out and goes up to Dickey's amp. So apparently there was an electrical failure on the amps. Not sure though.

That is definitely Johnny Neel on piano and Marc Q. isn't between Jaimoe and Butch.

I saw several shows from 89 and 90 and it has to be either 89 or 90.

Marc was added on percussion in 1991 and they cut ties with Johnny Neel after the 1990 tour ended.

Warren Haynes said Gregg and Dickey initially were only doing a long Allman Brothers tour in 1989 to support the Dreams box set. But the band sounded so good and Gregg and Dickey made more money in 1989 for a tour than they had in years, so they decided to keep the band going and they broke up their solo bands.

Dan Toler was upset in the press over this. He complained after 8 years of hard touring initially in bars and clubs, the Gregg Allman Band was now having success and had recently had a Gold Album. It certainly is disappointing Gregg would go back to the Allman Brothers Band now he said.

Money is a big reason to do a lot of things I suppose.
